When I set Karma Content up, because we're UK based I was a bit concerned about the extremely low prices people were offering content for and did quite a lot of research into what people were paying. One of the things I did was order some samples from Fiverr to see what people were getting for their money. This is a sample of what I was sent from one of their top sellers with a top rating and loads of fantastic reviews. Suffice to say I was no longer concerned.

Some people do, I sold on there when I first set the business up (will Fivesquid, but very similar) so I could get a wide range of testimonials for my website. There are other copywriters, bloggers, etc that do the same so sometimes you may get lucky!

If you are well experienced in this field you can write up on your site rather than hiring article writers, because you have more ideas to expand. I'm not against its only a suggestion.

Fisicx - I totally agree with you and Scott there, you have to respect the old saying "you get what you paid for". Some people will always prefer to pay low and see what they get. Sometimes, they can get lucky - a freelancer has to start somewhere - even the good ones.

As freelancer myself, I used Elance to get my first client, I started off low but I managed to build a reputation, gained valuable experience and eventually get higher paying clients.
