Are the flight delays a deliberate act?

We are currently in France - braved the carnage at Dover last weekend.

In fairness, it wasn't too bad despite media reports - we missed our ferry despite arriving 2 hours early, but the process was simply to stick us on the next available one .

Last time we flew - to Vienna, was the weekend that the BA computers went down. First delay- the crew were on the wrong plane - which they cheerfully told us about. Then an hour delay whilst they turned the computer off and restarted it (my last computer was a bit like that) that was more problematic, but hardly desperate

Glad you got out there ok I was driving down to Gosport last weekend and saw all the warnings on the motorway signs, a good friend of ours lives in the Dover and is living the nightmare.. France seems to be the in place at the moment hope you enjoy your break

A little birdie told me yesterday that Stanstead had been dealing with over 45k passengers a day if true ………that’s a lot of bloody jets

45k passengers? That's nothing.

Stansted handled over 70k a day in 2017.

Yep pre covid they were just over the 28 million a year probably will not take them as long as people think to get back to these numbers. Before the virus hit they had got permission to push these numbers to 43 million and adding nine more aircraft stands which got the residents around here hot under the collar be interesting to see how this pans out now.

For anyone looking to take a holiday, book with Jet2holidays if possible. They use all their own staff, booking in agents, luggage handlers etc. As a result, not a single flight cancelled.

You get what you pay for, used them recently and my wife insists we use them in the future if even for just flights. Received great service far superior to Ryanair and Easy Jet. Similar costs.
