Are people really that stupid?

"Because we are confident that the methods we use will yield positive results, we guarantee that your keywords will reach the first page of Google. The majority of our customers (over 95%) find that their keywords reach page 1 within 120 days. However, if 10% your keywords aren’t on page 1 of Google after your package ends, we will continue to work completely free of charge until we get them there."

So you only guarantee 10% of the keywords? Seems a bit low.

It may seem so, but a lot of firms will only guarantee 1 keyword or sometimes none at all. Basically we evaluate each project as it comes. Some clients we guarantee 10%, some 50%, some more etc. We put the 10% on our website as a baseline in order to not over promise on the website. Typically we can expect around 70-80% of the keywords will get to page 1.

Hello Ian J. That message will work on their target audience, the gullible, naive, etc, etc. Most of us will throw it in the trash in an instant, but we are not their target audience. Nor are the people who will read it all the way through and think about it for a short while, and then throw it in the trash. It has to be for those who upon reading the subject header start singing "We're in the money...". Very finely tuned lead qualification, these people haven't got time to personally convince anyone, other than that final nudge down the funnel. Cheers, Ace.

i'm sure many non internet savvy biz owners probably do reply to these people and give them their money. they can just have bad english but be good at their job. but then theres an easy way to find out. ask them for their website and then put into google "get me on the 1st page of google". if their website doesn't show up on the first page that will tell you everything you need to know.

There is only 10 spots plus ad spaces on the 1st page though. There will be 100s a of very successful SEO companies across the UK.

Also I find a lot of owners are not aware of SEO so cold calling is still needed, nobody likes it but it works.

The chances are they are being sent from overseas where people work for pennies, I would just delete them. Not worthy of wasting your time on replying, all you do is encourage them to keep replying.. good luck with everything..

IMHO it's all balls... The industry has gone down the toilet, like others, beast of the oversell... Sos to the good ones out there in this, but I bin all these without looking....

Agreed, just like when Visual Basic was launched in the early 90s, cue a raft of people with zero experience calling themselves 'programmers' followed by a slew of sh**ty apps with awful UIs being developed for peanuts....and harming those that had spent the time learning and honing their craft.
