Hi DWS
Have a little peep on the HMRC website (I am not allowed to send link) google Receive income tax or PAYE repayments on behalf of others HMRC.
I need some assistance, please. I have three CIS clients, and for the 2023/24 tax year, I submitted their tax returns as their nominee (I am an agent). I provided all the required information that HMRC requested, and I received the repayment.
I’ve recently heard that starting April 2025, HMRC will require an advanced electronic signature. Could someone explain this in more detail? While I understand what an electronic signature is in general, I’m unsure about what HMRC specifically expects from me.
From my research, I believe that both my client and I need to sign a letterhead agreeing on the details of the tax return. Should this signed document then be attached to the tax return when submitting it?
