A little about me
I started building websites as a hobby for friends over 10 years ago. Bitten with the web design I enrolled on a few training programs to take it to the next level and started building websites for local businesses. Word spread and it wasn't long before I was able to quit the 9 to 5 rat race and set up as a fully fledged freelance web designer.
Progression from website designer to hosting provider
I still build websites but the core service I provide is web hosting. Why? Well to put it quite simply the people I was building websites for were experiencing shocking customer services from their hosting suppliers. Typical feedback was that they could either not get a response from their hosting provider or the response they got was not helpful.
Small, friendly, yet reliable and professional
I saw a space in the market for a hosting provider that could really look after their clients. I like my clients to feel like they have their own personal hosting account manager. Every client has my personal mobile phone number!
So what brings me to UK BUSINESS FORUMS
I support a lot of businesses and many of them come to me for help and advice with their business. When I don't have the answers I like to go away, find out and get back to them. So what better place to find answers than a forum for business owners!
And yes, of course it would be nice to pick up a few extra clients for my hosting business. I have capacity to support and look after a few more. But I'm not here to pitch people and self promote.
Proud to say I've not spent a penny on advertising over the past 10 years
Nearly all of my clients have been recommended to me by another client. I love getting those emails that start something like. "My friend gave me your details and said you can help me get my business online, how do we get started?"
