Get a Panasonic DVD recorder they said,they are the best they said.One touch recording,very simple to use they said.
What they didn't say,was how complex they are.
Instruction book? A telephone directory for a small town!(In 26 languages)
I will try again in the morning.So if I am not in here tomorrow,you will no what has happened!

We've recently got the panasonic DVD recorder and VHS and Freeview tuner all in one box. Not hows that for complexity...lives up to its name though...except when you want to record a program as its finished before you work out how to record it!

We've managed to get the Panasonic television with the Sony dvd recorder. I gave up trying to understand it a few weeks after we bought it.

The wife is the only one who knows how to work it and accordingly only records what she wants. :| Usually soap operas and not sporting events...

Why can nobody invent an easy to use appliance?

It's not too late. . .If you start now, you can have a 9 year old by the time you are 55. . .

I am a technological whizz. . .I say, "Trish, can you record the match tonight, change my Facebook pic to the one with the big yellowfin and email the video of your little sister's penalty shootout to your grandparents from my phone"

Done in seconds, having children is the secret path to technological mastery. . .

my 2 year old daughter can already operate the dvd player to put on big cook little cook and also change the television channel
that is nothing to mention being able to pause and restart the sky + whilst she eats her dinner!

Wont be long before she can txt & type better n faster than me!

Sky+ Is the way forward, I think. We now have two Sky+ boxes in our house and getting ready for a third (Lounge, Bedroom then one in Mine Soon Too)

We already had Sky+ Downstairs and multiroom upstairs. If you have 2 mixes, or the older style package with movies, Sky+ doesn't cost anything extra, as they removed the £10 monthly fee. They now charge that fee to HD customers! hehe

So we bought a Octo LNB, removed the old one off the dish, put new one on, put in new cable, now have 2 sky+ working!

It's as simple as going into the planner, pressing the R button on what you want, when you want..and wayhay!

Great,but what "they" didn't mention was that I need a Sky subscription to record stuff!
