45 Euro Export Paper Fee PER BOX from Germany?

Two suppliers in Germany are advising that if shipping orders over 1000 Euros, there is a 45 Euro export paper fee - not per consignment but per box. They refused to ship our 10 boxes with DPD or DHL [on one waybill] and would only ship on a pallet which has one export fee.

Looking to corroborate the validity to this or any ways around this for non-pallets?

Has anyone made a DHL or DPD multi-box import from Germany this year?

Get them to pallatise the freight and offer EXW. Put it through the palletways or palletforce network. Charge of approx £45 for clearance.

Best way is to consolidate your 10 boxes into 1 by either palletising or packing in one large carton and ship thru a freight forwarder on a trailer groupage basis.
