Please help!
I am going to participate to trade exhibition in Japan and I take showpieces with me. I have been told by HMRC to fill the form number 104 and to present it at Customs at the airport here in UK, then present it again when I arrive to Japan to Japanese Customs.
This part is clear.
I am not sure how it works in Japan (that part of the world like another planet for me), but at the similar exhibitions in Paris, Milan etc most of the showpieces are bought by owners of small boutiques or fellow exhibitors at the end of the exhibition .
If at Japanese exhibition people will want to buy my showpieces, what should I do?
Should I charge them VAT or other tax? How much?
Should I right them invoices and keep copies?
Or should I just sell and then, when I go back, present at Customs less items?
Or may be you know who to ask about this matter? UK HMRC is useless, they sent me to Japanese tax office, but I do not know Japanese.
Thank you!
