You could also try and put the site into a template with dreamweaver, or using a find and replace function. Be careful though as a global find and replace isnt difficult to screw the site up.
You should only be targetting a max of two keywords per page of editorial. If you're trying to stuff more in the editorial becomes less effective. I suggest you write some more editorial.
I wouldnt wory about the number of pages which appear for each key word. I would research what the top keywords are and then analyse how difficult it is to rank for these terms.
