Indemnity Insurance - Recommendations Please

Please could I ask if others have a professional indemnity insurance that they are able to recommend, and could perhaps PM me with an approximate cost.

We use Hiscox, always got a decent price from them, but cost will obviously depend on your fee income and the level of cover you are looking for.

You could also try Hiscox, big insurer and great service, but you usually have to pay more to help pay for the costs of their great service.

I used Icon Insurance for quite some time.

I have also used a local broker - pdavenport at insurance-partnership dot com - email him with your requirements and I am sure he will be competitive. Mention me in all contact with Paul.

I recently swapped insurance companies - joined FSB and the money that I saved by using their brokers has more than covered the joining fee.

It pays to have a good look around as quotes varied enormously for what appeared to be similar policies.

And again for Hiscox. They seem to be the only ones that accept that non Chartered Accountants pose no more risk than members of the Institute. That said, they seem to use the same policy as for the Chartereds and you'll need to be constantly checking their paperwork. I pay £344 as a one man band using cover of 2.5 times annual fees. Doesn't cover audit or financial services business.
