Yes yes, point being a good SEO company should be able to offer the advice, there are always so many variables to consider for all the different types of sites out there
I think as an seo they should be able to give advice, yes it is about what the customer wants, but they need to have all the information available to decide, otherwise they are likely to actually go for something like sign ups just to bring in numbers.
This does depend on how competitive the keywords are but 6 months is a long time, have a look at our company SEO page (and others of course) these are the sorts of results i generally would expect, and 20 keywords is plenty for them to target.
