Ipad

Christmas is coming and have been thinking about buying an iPad for the family. Anyone already have one and care to share how robust they are with respect to kids etc ? Will they take the odd knock / drop or am I best steering clear for the moment ?

I have two who use mine - a 4 year old and a 2.5 year old. They love it, they are very good with it and like doing virtual painting and drawing, playing silly games on it and is also useful with some of the teaching apps, for colours. The 4 year old also likes watching video on it. He is also quite a fan of worms 2, which suprisingly hes quite good at.

It is fairly robust, but I dont let them use it unsupervised and they are told to sit down when using it.

And an ipad on holiday is a great way to keep the kids entertained in an instant if you need to!

I wouldnt use it as a virtual babysitter, but as something to do together, its great.

I have an IPad at home and my 3 and half year old loves it, it takes a battering but a wipe of the screen to remove grubby finger prints and its ready to rock and roll again.

never had a problem aside from the odd light scratch, I was quite surprised at how well it has survived.

I do not have an I-pad or an I-pod. I think there will be an apple dessert come soon and it will be called an I-pud. Wilwong can do the graphic!

There you go, Photoshopped and baked for 15 minutes, with a dollop of ice cream.
