Anyone charge visitors for coffee?

I was amazed, my son has just returned from Ryanair headquarters doing a presentation and he had to buy his own coffee in the boardroom, He did not meet O'Leary but he was visible in his office next door.

Anyone else that tight? I certainly wasn't and not come across it.

Never heard of this outside of public areas, and I've visited a lot of different businesses from retail, offices, warehouses, and more. Never had to buy my own coffee except in public spaces, such as where the business is in a WeWork but even then it was rare and usually free coffee and biscuits.

I respect o'leary - and happily use Ryanair for short flights.

On the other hand, I make every effort not to go for extras - as that cheap flight can quickly become annoying expensive one.

Strictly speaking entertaining clients or maybe even visitors is not tax-deductible. Is it possible that an HMRC bean-counter had enforced the expenses tax rules to the letter.
