    Hey there all!

The title already explains it all. Just wanted to see what's your practice on setting up and running ads on google for your clients?

    Thanks

Let them set it up and then add you as a User
Is that the most common practice? The reason I asked, one of my new clients was very confused when I explained the process to him, which was as like you said. The client said, the previous guys who was dealing with his ads, had access to his gmail and work that way. At first I was no, that cant be right, but the client kept on talking how easy it was blah blah blah, basically, spit few reasons why its like that.... so that made me question a little bit, it cant be right? Am I the one doing it wrong then? :D

But thanks for your answer :)

They need to be the account holder. You need to register as an Google Partner and get added as a user to their account.

The other guy was doing it wrong.

Surely some clients would not have a clue how to set up their own ads? I have a business and work with a marketing agency and I would not have a clue how to run our ads!
The agency does the ads. You just need to be the account holder.

Do they do it through your Google account or do they do it via their account, they pay Google and then they charge you?

With people who are clueless I get them to set up a completely new Google account which isn't used for anything else except managing Google Ads and they then give me access to that.

Not really the correct way of doing things though
