The Met police have finished their investigation and imposed the fines based on their findings.

Is it time to move on and concentrate on more important issues?

Are some people hoping that the Sue Grey report will find more damning evidence to prolong the party saga?

To be honest I stopped caring months ago and its funny how the labour leader has suddenly taken a step back on this ........ what do they say "he who cast the first stone"

This country faces a far bigger crisis and maybe (hopefully) the focus can now shift to this

Very hard for Beerstarmer to keep harping on about the partygate, when his five or six people at his constituency then became ten to fifteen, with the Police making inquiries with at least twenty individuals. Eventually I expect Beerstarmer to explain this away by blaming Diane Abbott doing the headcount.

I always say it, it always comes out in the end, ALL of them are useless, none are worth voting for, none deserve to be in Government.

Which leaves the UK in an awkward position, because now is the time when we do need quality leaders.

Agree, but surely there must be someone out there that can lead the country.

    A full cabinet, perhaps not!

Its was a made for news channel story that was dragged up every few hours along with some poor sod who could not have many people at a funeral

In a world of High inflation due to a war in Ukraine, The effects of Corvid still effecting NHS waiting lists, The effects of Brexit still lingering on especially in NI, does we really care about a few people having a party or drinks after work or the BOGOF issue

There could well be more important things for the government to sort out like where does the money come from to pay for what's urgently needed

I went for the job and the interview was going well until they asked: "What would be your first action as Prime Minister ?"

I replied "Do you mean after the executions ?"

Things seemed to go downhill after that.
I went for the interview too, things went downhill when I told then that the 'Brickies' had been booked (to build the wall), and 'Sandbags' were being delivered!

So, photos being leaked from Sue Grey's report, why are they blurred to only reveal the PM?

Will the anti BJ lobby from within, ultimately be his downfall?

Is Tom Tugendhat manouvering into position?

It's what happens when you vote for a big baby as PM. He appoints people who are like himself - other big babies as aides and ministers and soon you only have deluded and narcissistic big babies running the country. It is a phenomenon I call 'The Poisonous Tribe'.

A poisonous tribe is a collection of undesirable people who seek (knowingly or unknowingly) to undermine your company or any other body or department. They can be lazy, incompetent, dishonest, or any other destructive aberration. They are created when one bad supervisor appoints people that are like him- or herself.

I was once a very happy member of such a tribe at a British Steel subsidiary for about three short months. We never did any work, came to work late, drank tea and coffee most of the day and lost vital records including employment records and pay-grade info. I was more incompetent and clueless than most. The office rang to the happy laughter of good friends having a good time at company expense - but we were all lazy and incompetent.

But it is one thing to have a room full of lazy and clueless filing clerks - it is quite another to have an entire government and senior civil service like that!

Blurring likely as the other people who would have been in shot are civil servants and thus under their disciplinary rules, whilst the PM (and all MP's) have no HR department and pretty much no more of a disciplinary process than the school playground.

If the last 5 years have taught us one thing it is there needs to be some decent formal structure regarding discipline at Westminster (for all parties) - take it off the front pages and put it in the hands of someone independent with the power to sanction relative to the severity of the offence - up to an including instigating a recall petition (it would still need signing by the requisite number of constituents)

It depends on whether they want to win the next election or not.
Interesting bit on the radio yesterday, they asked a pollster whether the opinion polls suggested BoJo was a positive or a negative currently with prospective Tory voters if there was a GE

He Said "as a pollster you are often asked questions which are difficult to answer as they come down to nuances in the question asked in the polls" "This is not one of those, currently more people believe the moon landings were faked than believe Johnson is telling the truth" "people are saying if he lies about that, how can we trust other things he is saying"

I'm not sure whether Boris's integrity will have as much effect on voter's intentions as the media think as most peoples' voting intentions boil down to which party / leader will benefit them the most.
