Capium Cloud accounting Software

I am in the process of changing accountants, currently getting QuickBooks as part of my service plan with my current accountant

However the accountant i am hoping to move to, do not have QuickBooks but Capium, the accountant reckons Capium is easy to use like QuickBook etc but all my google search seems to indicate that capium is built specifically for Accounting practices rather than for businesses???

I am a small LTD business and used to have FreeAgent Free from NatWest but moved to Quickbooks when i moved banks, although i can still access my "free account" on FreeAgent, i am just worried if i decide to use FreeAgent again, NatWest may end up closing it at some point without notice.

Any Accountant here able to shed more lights on Capium capium use for business?

Seems that Capium isn't so common compared to quickbooks xero etc.

If your new Accountant can't use the software you're most comfortable with I'd suggest they're already your ex-Accountant

I had misunderstood.

That's not unusual, accountants don't get discount for all software automatically. It's very often the case that you have to meet certain conditions for example minimum client numbers to get a discount which can be passed to clients.

Whilst almost all software is ultimately the same, which means most accountants can work from records kept using any software, its very hard to learn how to use and keep fully up to date with more than one or two which is another reason why accountants do this.

The pricing for Capium is confusing, but it appears the accountant pays for the core services and then per user/client on top of it. It doesn't appear to be a consumer facing business.

With seat prices from £0.69p pm or £1.15 for smaller practices, it would be interesting how much an accountant will charge for it. Intelligent ones will give it away for free, but build the cost into their charges.

Rather oddly I've just had an email from Capium trying to sell me their product. I have no interest in their software and haven't contacted them so it's shame if they have got my details from here. It could of course be an incredible coincidence.

Find a accountant that fits your needs and forget about discounts, that's the least of your worries running a company, there must be thousands of accountants who deal with self employed using Quickbooks
