Hi All,

If you're not working at the moment what are you doing / going to do with your time off?

Andy

My time off is simply working in my living room and not in the office. Clients still need accounts preparing, payrolls, and importantly as much advice as I can give them (which remains fluid, but I suppose I'm better placed than many to track the announcements and changes as they come).

My year end, own two shops, closed both on Saturday, Sunday and Monday were doing annual stock take and now adding it all up, working out how to get government grants, pay wages for furloughed employees, also trying to negotiate rent holiday or reduction with landlords. Hopefully by tomorrow i will have most of this done and then i can switch to updating my website. Hopefully have a more relaxed time with my family, go for a bike ride every day to try and get fit and stay sane!

Helping customers (and potentially non customers) to reschedule finance agreements

Most lenders are being sensible, a few are playing hardball and. A few customers are taking the p!55

have signed up to help with NHS, so even if I’m not called on I can feel smug and self righteous

Painting the garden fences, sorting out kitchen cupboards to release old cans into usage. Working on a new Kindle book. Unable to go out for 12 weeks so helping the local community group assist the needy by manning the FB pages. Started a sourdough ferment. Trying to keep the missus calm and loving the blue skies in the garden. Stay safe all of you.

Watching Friends and the Big Bang Theory on Netflix, don't know what to watch next week.

Volunteering for local hospital picking up and delivering donations from John Lewis, Tesco and other donors.

For me its a full-time job trying to get a delivery slot from the supermarkets. They say they are favouring the elderly but seem to have no way of telling them my age.

Yes, that is a major challenge for many of us. We are in a vulnerable group due to age and diabetes. Our local community group is collecting medications and also shopping for essentials from the local shops. Works very well so maybe see if your area has a group on FB to help, Stay safe.

I need a prescription picked up but am very loathe to ask anyone. What are the ethics of staying at home to avoid the virus and expecting someone else to risk their life for a packet of pills?

We have a local help group. Seems to be used to organise mutual dog walking.

Mutual dog walking groups should not be happening, Do reach out for help. don't be too proud. Volunteers are springing up everywhere and are taking all the precautions need to protect themselves and others. Locally my meds guy says they go into the back door of the chemist to save queuing up in the street and saving time too. When he came to us he rang the doorbell and stood well back and was wearing gloves.

Time off - that'd be nice! We're incredibly busy encouraging businesses (and their agencies/developers) to build website strength that they didn't have before all this. So many companies are preparing/using the time sensibly, ready to take business away from their competitors when we come through the other side. If anyone is interested in being prepared, please have a look at our page https://www.a1webstats.com/resource/covid-19-recovery-guide-for-businesses/.

It is surprising how many of those Customers end the company name with Plc!

They will be the most visibly (frankly I'm very disappointed in Tim Martin), but many small businesses are also guilty - the silliest I've seen is a business with post-relief operating costs of £10K per month and £150K in cash reserves demanding an interest-free moratorium on leasing agreements.

We sell and support our software remotely, so there's not much change for us, other than we have a lot of customers now needing to work from home and get their websites up and running! Oh and I'm having to home school an 11 and 14 year old too. I have decided to take this afternoon off though and set up a home circuit course for them - they have too much energy and need exercising!

I have dealt with similar during the course of the week. An International Airline blaming a USD 2 Billion LOSS on ‘Coronavirus!’ (Their Financial Year ended on 31 December 2019!) Yet ‘Complex Government Financial Restrictions’ make it impossible for them to make a payment – Despite this being ‘In Progress’ for the last 2 Months! Hence, I have interpreted that ‘Complex Government Financial Restrictions’ means that they are about to go BUST and need ‘Bailing-Out’ by their Government! (Not a UK Airline)

A rather large American Project Management Company (Beginning with 'B') who cannot release AGREED Retention Sums from 2018 due to ‘Coronavirus!’ – Quite remarkably their Payment System had some ‘Glitches’ in Early February (When Payment was being made) and they have only ‘Just’ become aware! – “Furlough of Employees could well Protract Payment!”

A UK Top Ten House-Builder claiming that something called 'UK Furlough Law' prevents them from making any payments! – Again citing ‘Coronavirus!’ – “I have not just fallen off the Christmas Tree!” was the heading of my last Email! – Their Email response was “LOL” from a Director!

Admittedly, the Default Amounts were ‘Budgeted For’ and any recovery could be regarded as a ‘Windfall!’ However, the excuses being presented are so naïve! There used to be THREE BIG LIES!

1. Yes, I really do love you!
2. The Cheque is in the Post
3. NO I will not . . . .

To this, we must add the FOURTH LIE! – ‘Coronavirus!’ And, possibly a FIFTH! – ‘Furlough!’ Indeed the expression ‘Furlough’ is alien to most in the UK. Yet it can be regarded as a ‘Softism!’ – Just in the same way that ‘Quantitative Easing’ really meant “PRINT MORE MONEY!”

All very true, it’s a great opportunity for Excuses and lots of new initiatives to abuse

I believe it falls under the age old banner of ‘kitchen sink economics’

Brings it home to shareholders, either they fork out to protect there money for the short term or they loose it by the companies going bust

Many companies will recover in the long term and make good money. But expecting the government to support them on its own is a joke

Many big named companies also thought it was a good idea to leave the UK shores and register the company in Europe, so basically foreign companies now British Airways owned by IAG in Madrid, maybe Spain will help them out

I have translated it to Kurdish after that sent it to Kurdistan to a lot of people.

You will have people that will follow that and then not treat serious diseases properly which will cause deaths...you say on the website if you follow it it will prevent 100% of cancer - that is not true in the slightest.

The Google Police will soon (I hope) take the site down or block it.

It prevents cancer because of the diet and life style. If you follow this diet in parallel to your doctor's advices, you should remain healthy for a long time.

It is a plant based based diet. Many people have recovered from serious diseases after changing their diet to a plant-based diet . You keep with a plant based diet, take coffee enema, keep your body always fully hydrated with warm water, do a fair amount of exercises and chew your food very well, you will not become ill and your ageing process slows down at least by half.

I’m off to soak my nuts....
First wash them in vinegar or salted water to get rid of any pesticides because now cross contamination is wide spread. Leave the nuts inside salted water for about ten minutes. After that wash them with normal water and soak them over night. Don't add any anything so that the nuts start germinate. In this way they create more nutrition and enzymes.

The wife says to thank you.

Please no. Not again.

Engagement offers nothing other than an endless road of confusion, frustration, disappointment, exasperation, and great nothingness.

Please, please please, I beg you - don’t encourage him!

Excellent! Are there lots of people suffering from CV and Cancer in Kurdistan?

More importantly, does your diet only work with humans, or will it offer other species a long and healthy life, too?

Before the liberation of Iraq on 2003, Kurdistan was very poor, people were almost starving but healthy physically. Within 5 years Kurdistan went forward after liberation to become as advanced as any western countries, with one disadvantages. They started to eat Western food. Now they are not healthy any more physically like before 2003.
