Hi all, just having a bit of a moan here really unless someone can point out if I've missed something.
My wife and I are the only partners in a non-limited company that has been going for 3 years and turning a profit of below the personal allowance (I only became a partner as of April 2019).
We don't have assets over £200 in the business and currently fulfil our orders about 3-4 weeks in arrears. We sell to the beauty industry which is not really in the key-worker section so will be probably close shortly, therefore cutting off our income.
I've looked at the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme and frankly, the criteria seems to be loaded to businesses that already bank with the lenders, have assets or are Ltd companies. I managed to find just one bank that we might be able to borrow from as we rent our house, so therefore have no security.
We operate from our home so we don't pay business rates and therefore we don't qualify for a grant.
And finally, probably, we can't even get through to the Universal credit people which even if we did, wouldn't even cover our rent.
Ok, that's my moaning over so has anyone got any helpful advice that I may have missed?
