    Hi Guys,

My AdWords account is somewhat killing me.

Each keyword has its own group with separate ad's in etc.
Followed pretty much every guide in the world yet one of the keywords.. My main one :( seems to always get 3/10 and rarely shows.

Its got a mostly bad landing page score. CTR is actually 17%.

    Landing page is https://www.imsupporting.com/live-chat-software/

    Obvious what keyword its for..

Pagespeed is as good as its gonna get. Green for desktop ~85 on mobile.

Does anyone have any suggestions here? Followed suggestions from other places to no avail.

Most of my other keywords rank 7/10 yet this one painfully doesnt.

    Any thoughts guys?

    Hi @lynxus

Quality score is an incredibly frustrating metric. It often feels like there is no logic to it.

You use the phrase "main keyword". When I've heard that phrase in the past it's usually been associated with a short 1 or 2 word keyword. If that's the case you'll need a shedload of negative keywords to prevent it triggering ads for the wrong kind of searches. This could be a cause of poor quality score. You might want to check the search terms tab to see the actual searches that triggered your ads.

Contact me via PM if you'd like me to take a look at your account to see if I can spot anything you might have overlooked.

In AdWords it breaks down your quality score into three components: Expected click through rate; Ad relevance; and, Landing page experience. What are you getting for Ad relevance?

Also, what is the bounce rate from the landing page and how does that compare with your other landing pages?

That's a page telling me what live chat software is. I already know that (it's why I clicked the advert).

It tells me how to install it before you have told me what it is.

I expect to see a page telling me about YOUR live chat software and how to get it.

It's no wonder Google is confused.

lol its all very confusing here also.

I talk to so many so called experts and they all tell me different.
One says you need to explain what it is.
    Others say dont.
Others say make sure the form is above the fold.
    Others say dont.

Ive tried so many variations its painful.

Maybe ill reword the top bits to be more focused on the product i guess.

So I've google Live Chat Software
I see your advert that tells me you have one I can use
I click on the link and land on the page. I expect to see details of the product, screenshots and some simple steps on how to install and make it work.
If it all looks good I can fill in the form and create an account.

This page is NOT connected to the main site - it's a dedicated PPC landing page.

Ha, google advisers on their own live chat told me to remove the main linking structure as google want the page to be separate from normal website pages.

It should be dedicated to the advert and nothing else.

    What a nightmare..

I do however get your point. So i will probably re-work that whole page to be different.

Do your on-page SEO lessons and you'll score 10/10 for all of your keywords, and decrease click price.

Have you checked his page, he's done a decent job at tying his ad copy to what his page is about. In terms of relevance it's looking good so maybe something else is going on, I'm no Adwords specialist but I do know one if the OP wants contact info?

But in terms of engagement it's look poor. If you do not engage users, you'll never rank high. Engagement from technical perspective tells Google - this is what I'm looking form (for specific keyword).

For example. Instead of asking from beggining "How do I install Live Chat?" I would ask "Why do I need Live Chat". Giving a right questions and answers allow you to engage your visitors, and because of that your page will get longer session time, more internal click (if possible), more returning visitors, lower bounce rate, etc... ant this is a few important factors of GA website score. Please note that Google Adwords needs time to setup right score. So you may change your website a lot and see score changes within few next days.

I always find the Google reps don't give the best advice, I would always say split test different LP as the one you have seems pretty clogged up, I do more FB PPC now and find that I prefer to use click funnels or squeeze pages from my AR's as you can change these quickly and split test pretty quickly.

Inclusion of negative keywords would be the best start. Try to understand the process of quality score because its not only the relevance but also the history of the ad on how it performs in the web.

May not be relevant to Adwords but I'm missing a contact form built in at the bottom of the page, I actually thought the screenshot on the left hand side was a tiny contact form.

Also, I feel rewording "Why use IMsupporting?" to something slightly sales-y like "Features and Benefits of IMsupporting" and list them as bullet points so the human eye can follow them easily.

My last personal opinion is that there's too much white space and I'm missing a nice pretty image. My first impressions is that the page looks entirely too corporate and not enough volume of content. I didn't fall in love with the product, I just thought "Hmm I am bouncing off this page"

    Just my tuppence @lynxus
