Good news

My eldest grandchild who is 18 and suffers from Asperger syndrome which affects his physical co-ordination as well as causing a few other problems has got a place at Oxford.

So I am pleased that his future may be a little less uncertain ( not guaranteed of course )

That is great news - well done to him.

And you have proved that Good News and sirearl in one sentence is possible!

I have plenty of good news, its the rest of the world that is in trouble.;)

Hence why my posts are never about my own situation but generally on behalf of the less fortunate..:|

A Kinda mother Terasa but bald as a coot with a beard.:)

Congrats to the grandson - Oxford is a beautiful place full of beautful people, mind I would say that - both of my male brats are from there!!

Will admit finding it hard though to reconcile Earl with such an imperialist symbol as Oxford .... <wanders off shaking head!>

Thats great news Earl and an inspiring story behind it no doubt.

Worth bearing in mind when we all moan about trivial things (well I know I do before I stop myself!)

Why is this good news? You want your grandchild to mix with public school boys including Old Etonians, and rub shoulders with the rich and privileged?

You want him to get a first class education and probably go into banking? To use the upward mobility this country has to become part of the elite?

Just like the Labour cabinet ministers who send their kids to public school: 'do as I say not as I do'.

The good news is that he gets away from you.:)

Yes.
Good to know that everything you have posted to date before this was just sour grapes then.

Pure projection laddie.

Disatisfaction with the way society treats its less fortunate members is hardly anything to do with genus Vitis.
