Are you a Christian?

The trouble is DCE, those people believe they're right, just like you believe you're right. You won't change your mind, because you're 100% sure of your beliefs, just like they completely believe they're right.

You're both cut from the same cloth, no longer searching for the truth you now claim to speak nothing but the truth, and those truths you say come from God. Your positions are immoveable.

So why should others change, when you won't? Maybe the trick is never claiming to speak for or on behalf of God?

Because from what I can see, speaking about God just causes animosity.

Religions have painted God as arbitrary, remote, or cruel.

Simply put, being a JW means that you're a part of a religion, therefore you're as just to blame as any other religious sect.

...........and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.

Do you really want to bring up the flood? Really?
One of the sillier stories which you have refused to discuss before?

If so, we'll try this for starters - there is not enough water on the planet to flood all of the land.

- If the flood happened, where did all the extra water come from, and where did it go afterwards?

- Was noah's ark the forst ever boat and the only boat in existence at that time? If not, what was to stop thousands of other people surviving the flood on their own boats?

Remember, answers need to be direct quotes from teh bible, not your own fantastical imaginings.

Over to you............

You really don't have a clue or the insight necessary, as we learn't from you the last time we spoke about the flood, so we won't be discussing it with you Beachcomber as it's pointless.

Also the point was also they took no note, I think that's and important point.

DCE, with respect, that's utter rubbish.

Like all decisions based on the bible, it's illogical and downright dangerous. By all means risk your own life based on this nonsense, but when people start risking the lives of their own children it becomes another matter entirely.

Quite honestly, any JW who attempts to prevent their child from receiving blood as part of lifesaving medical treatment should be arrested.

I just want to pick up one point here....... Surgeons can perform 'life saving' medical operations, with the use of a 'cell saver'.... Blood is not the answer to everything.... It's just a cheaper option :) hense why people 'DONATE' blood... It's been medically proven that using the cell saver is far better than the use of blood.. FACT, nothing to do with religion... :)

What do you mean "we" wont be discussing it with you? Are you informing people of the truth here that you are in fact more than one person posting on one account?

The daft thing is though, you don't discuss anything... you ask questions of people yet refuse to answer questions given to you... that isn't a discussion nor a debate about anything.

What point are you proving by asking this... I am generally stating a FACT that is is medically proven to be safer, and have better outcomes.. Less chance of diseases, infections etc etc.... And as far as I am aware, it is available on the NHS, they just choose not to use it.. But to be honest I can't be 100%.......

Going off this subject a tad....

I can't understand this argument on a business forum.. Everyone is entitled to there opinion, religious beliefs, and I don't see why JW's get such a bad name.. Everything they do is right by the book itself, it's written there in black and white.... Would we judge some form of asian religion on here? NO we wouldn't, as it would be 'unacceptable'.. SO WHAT gives anyone else the rights to judge and question someone elses beliefs when it comes to JW!!?

Is it because not many people like them?

It's to be expected Simon

(John 15:17-21) 17 These things I command YOU, that YOU love one another. 18 If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. 20*Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also. 21*But they will do all these things against YOU on account of my name, because they do not know him that sent me.

It was quite a simple question as it goes... there was no point to be made.

However, you have answered the question without knowing the actual FACTS of whether or not is it available on the NHS.

The question to be asked here though is, WHY is it not readily available on the NHS?

If it's down to costs, then surely the NHS has to factor in the simple fact that the public are charged stupid prices for prescription medication and we pay council tax which is meant to fund the NHS - if there isn't enough money in the pot to allow such treatment to be readily available then the next simple question is Why not?

With regards to your other statement, I don't judge others by any religion, creed or colour... The only judgement I can make is via actions of others... The actions by the JW on this forum are far from JW rules.

OK I take back what I said, I thought you were going to make some form of point.... I apologise, I misread the signals.. The USA have no problem in using it, and even expanding the use of it, indeed the question is, WHY can't we? Your right, I don't know, but the facts remain the same, it's been medically proven it is better than blood, in many different ways..

I was making a general statement to the people on this thread, not specifically you, just a general overview of how people can be so judgmental..

Oh and Simon, I am more than aware of how this forum works, I have been on here far longer than you buddy.. I simply cannot understand why people are so against them... As I said, they have rules, YES, however MANY other religions have far more rules to stick by, DO any of you guys make a judgement of them................ NO is the answer.. it's disgraceful!

As I said previously, I don't make judgements on anyone, unless they act like a complete tool... whether black or white, christian or Hindu doesn't bother me... if people can't give respect to others, then they deserve none in return... as a "christian man" as he claims to be (yet in many circumstances has proven to be more than one person using the account) - they refuse to respect other people's religions, in fact he's stated quite openly that they're wrong and that they are praying to a false god... so tell me... Why should I respect a disrespectful, disgraceful so called christian? :)

With regards to the JW rules, one of them clearly states that a JW can not discuss anything that goes against the JW religious views, yet here he is... constantly posting tripe about how JW are far better than others... which is against their actual rules... lol ;) - quite amusing really.

No matter how long you have been a member, it is clear you have not been involved in discussion with DCE at all.

If you had you would clearly see the reson he is derided and 'judged'

It is because he continually lies, plagarises, avoids questions, refuses to engage in direct debate and generally buries his head in the sand while at the same time claiming to have all the answers and know all about gods great plan.

Members of other religions have been involved in the various threads here and have been welcomed and have joined in - DCE is singled out as he posts responses like the one quoted above.

This is afterall the person(s) who tried to tell me dinosaurs had been created to stamp down all the jungles on the earth to make it ready for people to inhabit, and when the job was done they became extinct.

If these are not the comments of someone truly worthy of ridicule, I don't know who is.

If you can I'd really recommend reading both this thread and the 'Knowing the mind of god' thread from the start (quite a task I know!) this will give you a very clear picture of where everyone is coming from as I understand a snapshot of these discussions cannot give them their proper context.

A nurse of 20 years and you have never heard of bloodless surgery.... Hmmmm I beg to differ with this statement.. Sorry I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but your insulting mine.

Ask your doctor, or even just go online, or go to the library, it's pretty easy to find this information.

Are you a doctor?
This is not the procedure you were talking about. We have been using this procedure for a number of years. We take the blood that is lost during surgery from a patient and reinfuse them with it during the recovery process.
This is not the same as giving a blood transfusion to someone who needs it, say someone who has suffered a road traffic accident.

What are you talking about....... All I have indicated is that the use of bloodless surgery i.e a cell saver, has been proven it works better than blood, for surgery.. When did I ever mention trauma?? I just stated a fact, that it's been proven by medical professionals in America that it is better..... Less chance of infections, less chance of diseases, oh and I also mentioned that the process of a blood transfusion is cheaper.. Is that okay with you nurse?

By the way, thanks for the warm welcome. This was my first post. Seems like you guys just like to come on here for a good fight. If that is the case I won't be taking place any longer.
Try to be nicer to people and you might get a bit further in life instead of spending your time trolling forums.

Be more specific.

And please try to be a little more polite.

You throw the 'nurse' at me at the end of your sentence like it's meant to be an insult.
What do you do for a living?

Because you appear to me to be the sort of person who sees people who work in the healthcare profession as someone who is below you.
Calling someone a nurse is not an insult, dear friend. I happen to be very proud of what I do for a living.
I spend my days helping people who are not able to help themselves.
I was just curious to know what you do, that puts you far above me and allows you to talk to people you've never met in a derogatory fashion.
And how do you know what my reasons for joining this forum are?

And, again, are you talking about Gelofusin?

Oh dear, oh dear.. I am not even going to lower my standards.. You do not even know me, my mum herself is a nurse, so why in heavens name would I insult the profession....

You might want to take a look at yourself before you go judging me... Based on this quote "allows you to talk to people you've never met"...... Let me continue this, a) what have I said that is putting myself above you? b) your the one accusing me of being everything under the sun so far.. c) you've never met me, i've never met you, so how can you judge me so much from 4 posts...... and make such rude accusations..

Mate, to be honest, I really, truly, honestly, do not care what it's called, I really don't care!

So why bring the subject up, if you are not willing to continue the debate?

You can't just make statements and not expect people to challenge you on them if they think you are wrong.

I haven't based anything on 4 posts. I read the whole thread and this is the point that I decided to join in.
Someone had made a statement (you in this case) about a medical procedure and, as this is something I am reasonably knowledgeable about, I thought I'd join in.

My first post was a simple question.
Your reply, as anyone would agree, was less than courteous. I'm not the sort of guy who let's people get away with that sort of behaviour so I gave some back.

If you can't handle that, then don't start responding to people's first post in an antagonistic manner.

Find out more about about what you are trying to say, then come back and post about it.

If you are talking about Gelofusin, which I suspect you are, the problem is that you can only give the patient so many units before dilution begins.
At that point you have to give them whole blood otherwise they will die if their red cell count is too low.

It's the sort of behavior that goes around on these forums unfortunately.. I am only minor compared to some....

I can handle any question anybody wants to throw at me, but I prefer to keep things simple, and try not to manipulate people or outclass them with fancy words, so I will just send you a quote instead:

As patient awareness about the risks of blood transfusions increase, so does the demand for bloodless surgery.
In fact, the statistics for blood transfusion can be alarming when it comes to health. Heart surgery patients are twice as likely to die during the first 30 days of hospitalization if they receive a blood transfusion for anemia, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Heart bypass patients who receive blood transfusions are also twice as likely to acquire an infection after their operation, according to a study in the journal BMC Medicine. Overall, the study found that 16% of patients who received a transfusion developed an infection after their operation, as compared to 7% of patients who did not have a blood transfusion acquired an infection. Additionally, the risk of contracting hepatitis B is about 1 in 205,000, according to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, and the risk for hepatitis C is 1 in 2 million. The Institute states that if a patient receives blood during a transfusion that contains hepatitis, he or she will most likely develop the virus.

Going back to a point when mentioned earlier, about people on this forum just want to fight, and I suggested that's the reason you joined, you kind of just proved my point....

I have spoken with DCE before.. I have no problem with him..

You have no problem with believing dinosaurs were created to stamp down jungle to ready the earth for man?

No problem with someone who claims to have special knowledge of gods plan but refuses to address the glaring inaccuracies in his statements?

I have discussed religion with many, many people from many, many walks of life - and I have never before met anyone as deceitful and slippery as DCE.

All I do is ask questions - and all I get is distraction, avoidance and plagarised quotes.

I think it is important to challenge those who claim special knowledge of divine plans but refuse to engage in debate as it helps differnetiate between those of faith and those who are obsessed with an idea.

Might I just add, if this was not over the internet, it would be classed as 'bullying'..

If I were posting insults and offensive language then yes - if I am calling him out on his points and asking him to back up what he has claimed to know then no, it's not bullying, it's debate.

If I were sat in the pub, face to face with DCE, I would ask the same questions. The fact that the discussion is online is irrelevant.

You just suggested singling DCE out, and that he basically deserves it.. I don't care what he has said or done, no one should be singled out! I am 21 years old FFS, and not even I would stoop as low as you guys on this thread!

No one should be singled out?
So if a person in a pub were dancing on the tables and throwing pints it would be unfair for the bouncers to 'single him out' and eject him from the premisis?

If a person enters into a debate, claims to have a superior understanding of the subject but then continually ducks and dives when questioned directly then that needs to be challenged - as I would expect to be challenged on any point of view I have posted.

DCE is not singled out for bullying, just asked questions relating to his posts - which he continually refuses to answer - showing him to be just the kind fo false prophet he claims to rally against.

How about we spin this on it's head, and put yourself in DCE shoes, with everyone on at him, judging him, singling him out etc.. How would you feel? I don't care as I said what he has said or done, no one should be a subject of this!

You really don't understand him at all do you.

Each time he is challenged, each time something he says is shown to be totally wrong, each time he is shown the website he pinched his quotes from - he sees it as the devils work, he honestly believes each challenge to his views are tests for him to endure and any 'reason' offered is just satanic trickery, he really is that far gone.

He loves it here - why else would he spend so much time here? He is a martyr for the cause, fighting the good fight and earning his special place in gods kingdom (in his head) You can't reason with that.

Again, read teh threads from the beginning - I think you may have a different perspective on things, unless of course you have already made up your mind. ;)

I'd never be negative to anyone because of their chosen religion.

What I will do is challenge someone fwhat they say doesn't stack up, and pursue that if they avoid answering or (as you have just seen him do) refuse to enter into a discussion rather than back up their position with reasoning.

If someone is of true faith they will be able to enter into a debate and discuss various points - and also if they are asked something to which they don't have the answer, to have the honesty and humility to say 'I don't know'

DCE cannot do this, yet continues to claim to know all the answers. It's this kind of thinking that leads to people drinking the cool-aid!

Just to put the record straight, Beachcomber has an attitude which Christians, are warned about , and are given proper direction, by Jesus Christ how to deal with them. which Beachcomber has no insight into.

So when we put people on ignore, because of their attitude and rudeness, it's creates a person that wants to retaliate, which is to tell lies and subject the person to abuse, which Beachcomber has done perfectly.

But he is not fooling the person that see all things, as the scripture says:-

(Galatians 6:7, 8) 7 Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap.

Beachcomber may exalt himself through his tricky tongue, but we expect it as Jesus warned us in advance.

(Matthew 5:11) 11 "Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake.

I'm really happy, as the truth has given me the insight into what to expect, and it's spot on.

...........I don't know what's been said or done........

I've got a feeling the following discourse will help...................;)

Just to put the record straight, Beachcomber has an attitude which Christians, are warned about , and are given proper direction, by Jesus Christ how to deal with them. which Beachcomber has no insight into.

Those who were responsible for writing christian doctorine were well aware that there would be those who would see through the veil - would question, challenge and debate.

Because there were glaring holes in the theology, it was decided that these people who challenged the validity of the faith should be dismissed as wicked, deceitful, agents of saten etc, etc.

It's such a shame.

No, it doesn't.
You have had me on ignore before - because you could not / would not enter into a honest discourse.

I did not retalliate in any way. This is entirely in your own mind and is symptomatic of the persecution fantasy you enjoy.

But he is not fooling the person that see all things, as the scripture says:-

(Galatians 6:7, 8) 7 Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap.

A clear example of what I have just said.
Your view is basically this - "The bible is the truth because the bible says it is the truth and anyone who disputes this is an agent of satan who is trying to test your faith"

I do not have a 'tricky tongue' Just an open, honest, enquiring mind that doesn't take things for granted.

(Matthew 5:11) 11 “Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake.

Oh look, another example of the love of persecution - the willingness to martyr oneself. really, it's getting a bit samey?

I'm really happy, as the truth has given me the insight into what to expect, and it's spot on.

If your belief brongs you comfort then that is good - but you are not happy with this. You feel the need to project your beliefs on others but are unable to enter into an honest debate and so many, many times in these threads you have run and hidden from enquiry which is such a shame.

No but you would because of your chosen religion.;)

Back in your box earl, thats a poor troll, even by your standards. :p

And your source?
