One for the accountants

Can anyone recommend a good time recording system?

and preferably one that doesnt cost the earth!:)

It really depends on what you need it to do and to what extent.

Are you actually going to use it for billing or as more of a job costing tool?

just to record time on a job really, have seperate billing software already

You will probably find that the Sage packages are overkill for this purpose especially if you are working on fixed fees.

I have Sage Time & Fees myself and it does what I need it to but it is not the simplest (or cheapest) solution.

I dont know if he still does it but I am sure Nick at Yorkshire Accountancy used to sell a really good cheap and cheerful time recording package based on Excel.

It was many years ago that I used it but it might be worth contacting him. He is a member on here and you'll also find him on Google.

You could look at http://www.paymo.biz/ which is integrated with Kashflow.

The only reason I suggest this is that it is free for up to 3 users however it does seem to be set up the wrong way for accountants to use........I would simply like to choose client, task and time rather than have to set up projects but it may have changed as I haven't looked at it recently:)
