So this is my first ever time, I am a little nervous. My name is Gill, I live and work (from home) in Coniston, Cumbria. My business is called The Green Housekeeper, we are manufacturers of environmentally friendly cleaning products. I joined this forum to get some help and advice relating to business - I feel confident in creating and manufacturing but less confident everywhere else! All suggestions/help/tips are gratefully received.

If you need any help it is best to be very specific about what you want to know and have a search around first before you post as a lot of topics have already been covered.

But ask away as everyone is pretty helpful.

Thank you for being so welcoming, I didn't include my website as I thought I may be accused of trying to sell here, really I do just need some advice (yes of course I need sales too). My website isn't finished yet - that is to say I am not happy with it - so wordy - why is that????!!!!
Do have a read of it, literally tons of info and very few pics, oh dear, still working on it - do visit it its greenhousekeeper . co. uk
Please don't be really critical I know, I know - I am working on it and I am such a sensitive soul.
Appreciate all advice and am feeling really pleased at finding this, registering and even sending some messages - get me - country bumpkin!

Hello and thanks again - here is where I am up to - not sure if this is the appropriate place to post but if not can somebody point me to where I need to be please. I have some wonderful natural, effective products (spent last two years in development) which are as concentrated as possible (most environmentally friendly) and yes they are expensive but this absolutely reflects the cost of ingredient and production honestly. I have a logo and some pics, business cards, headed paper and a bit of a website. I have some packaging but not all, I have some customers (hotels, self catering cottages and a pub) but really want to go into retail so really have to push the product packaging, loads of ideas but precious little time or cash left! Currently converting barns for business use (I don't do things by half) for which I finally got planning permission through. I keep getting conflicting pieces of advice and whilst I appreciate all advice I am just becoming confused of Cumbria!
I have spoken to more people today on this forum than I have this year (outside of my family) so I think I am really isolated too - not complaining just stating fact and joining this may very well have rectified that problem already.

I would try and get as many links from "green sites as possible" .

you could probably do with a bit of pro help on the marketing side.

green is the flavour of the month so could go quite nicely

Many thanks for your comments all of which I have taken 'on board' now massive apologies in advance but I really have no idea how to set up a new message to ask for specific help. I am sure it is perfectly obvious but not to me - sorry could somebody please let me know - it is a packaging related query?

Go to the board listing the forum catagories.

Click on the General Business forums heading

At the top click on the Rounded button that says NEW THREAD

Then post as you would normally. Hope that helps:)
