There was a thread recently about mods concealing the fact they've signed in. My problem is the complete opposite: having recently got the Tapatalk app, I find I appear to be signed in 24/7 - devices with the app installed on regularly updating.
I know it's probably more to do with the app then the forum per se, but is there any way to control this, or otherwise avoid giving the impression I'm online when I'm not? I don't want to appear rude, ignoring PMs or threads I'm subscribed to when it's only a phone/tablet online, and not me.
(There is one small benefit to this: as I'm recorded as active, I get emailed the latest replies to a thread before the mods exercise their discretion, so I see the uncut version of posts - and some of those have been interesting of late...
)
