Hi Again Guys

Had some really good help so far, especially from Scalloway which I appreciate greatly. Wouldn't let me include a link to my previous thread but title is
"Help Please - Balance Sheet fir Year 2 of Small CIC".

Our CIC is Been Busy on Companies House.
We had a lotto grant of £9,998 in Sept 2015 with £1,655 not used by June 2016 when year 1 accounts were done. The £1,655 was spent by Sept 2016.

Scalloway's help gave me the info below which is very useful and shown in bold at the end.

I am ready to complete the paperwork now & get it sent off.
We are a CIC and no further account activity since Sept 2016. We have a nominal £1 (one pound) sat in our our bank account now just to keep it open.
As I see and understand it, in year 1 we had a balance of 3,121 to carry forward. In year year to have the £1 left we made a loss if 3,120.
Scalloway's excellent help implies we gave a profit of 1,656 in year 2 which doesn't reflect the £1 left in our account. He used £213 as the bank balance to make things balance.
Sorry if I'm being a numpty on this, but want to get it right with the minimum I need to include fir Companies House.
Just want to check I'm not completely misunderstanding things before I go with the info supplied to he, with a tweak if necessary.

Thanks again people.

--------

I've found your accounts at Companies House. The P & L should be

Loss above ......................(£3,120)
Grant not now repayable £1,655
Loss to balance sheet.......(£1,465)

Balance Sheet
Assets b/f...........................£1,788
Less depreciation................(£345)
..............................................£1,443
Bank........................................£213 (balancing figure - should be £1 if I got all expenses correct)
Total......................................£1,656

P & L brought forward £3,121
Loss...............................(£1,465)
Total................................£1,656

One point I did want add.
Although we only have the nominal £1 sat in the bank now and the CIC is effectively dormant, dies the actual profit shiw as a greater value (such as 1,656) as we have tangible assets? Just a thought.
