£250 + £40/month for a 6 page website
If you look at their portfolio though, the sites, imo, don't look template based and, imo again, look very well designed. Also, surely for £250 the initial costs are great to get your business a proffesional web presence. Would that appeal to you?
The £250 is not the issue but, it is the £40 a month afterwards that is rediculous.
Also, if they can design such nice sites - why is their own so naff? Surely a company you wanted to trust with your company presence would need to display something a little special themselves in order to gain your confidence.....
Nope, it doesn't look like something anyone I know would actually entertain.
Hi Comspec, do you think their website is that bad? What about their portfolio? Remember that most of us commenting on this tread are in the trade. From a non-technical customers point of view, dosnt this seem like an easy and cash-flow-friendly way of getting a website, especially in this climate?
Also I think thier main selling point is that its easy to update for the customer and that the site needs to be updated in order for the search engines to pick it up, thus saving editing fees. PM sent.
Naw mate, their site is not 'that' bad, but there are a few things about the homepage, etc which turn me right off:
1) The big smiling tube who looks like he is smirking as he takes my dosh.
2) The 'easy' rip off, although subtle it is a little too much
3) The homepage looks like a 'get rich quick scheme' sort of site
4) The ongoing price of £40 pm is just way too much
I agree the portfolio looks ok, but everything looks templated and that is not made as clear as maybe it should be.
I am assuming you are looking at these guys for a site? If so, I'd ask for a set price with none of that ongoing fee stuff.
£40 quid a month is simply shocking.
Considering we have a website deal with a £49.99 set up and then only £3.99 per month.![]()
