I'm going through the process of redesigning my website, which is built on woocommerce.
Been advised the use divi framework from www.elegantthemes.com because it can be customised for different types of shops according to the user's requirement.

Anyone used this before? What are your thoughts
I want to be able to make proper informed decision.
Cheers

Aaaaaarrrrgggghhhhh!

Avoid Divi and anything else form Elegant Themes.

Use Google images and search for 'Woocommerce themes'. There are loads to choose from. But your problem isn't the theme, it's whole way you categorise, display and market the products.

I do remember saying I'd do a website review for you and then forgot. Apologies for that, do you still want one?

Will really appreciate if you can do a website review.
I want to make sure that I get it right this time

@Tbozz

Divi plays nicely with Woocommerce and support is excellent but there is an element of "lock in" by that I mean it's difficult to switch

It's also just a theme (without bundled plugins) which I find an advantage because the license for those plugins is with the theme developer not you and just look what happened with Revolution slider - a lot of sites got hacked

on your site why is this file so big - it's nearly 1Mb ?

If you run it through Tinyjpg you can cut the size in half

    Upgrade documentation ?
    http://docs.opencart.com/upgrading/

After weeks of issues the extension store is getting there - BUT do you cripple a live system and then do development work on the fly on a live system?
It was always possible to continue buying extensions and support was available during the entire time. There were minor issues with the comment system and the number of sales indicator but everything else was functional and we purchased (and sold) various extensions throughout.

How many live upgrades to a complex system have you deployed without issue?

    I did like Opencart
I've answered all your points above and they're minor at worst.

Also ... show me a better system?

I see you dogded the upgrade documentation question :)

How many live upgrades to a complex system have you deployed without issue?

Many that's my job :) - If it doesn't work(ish) - it doesn't go live but then we actually try and test it beforehand
As I said on the forum it was competent and if Daniel worked for me he would have been fired

Anyway we are way off topic, I think the Opencart team need to learn from this and hopefully get their act together

    No, I posted a link to it, re-read ;)

Okay so you understand that little issues are pretty common - and in this case as I said it was just the comment system and sales counter. They didn't really affect too much.

It sounds to me like Daniel has upset you somehow, and yes he can be quite blunt on the forums etc. but that's only because of his passion for what he does. Linus Torvalds is known to be the same and people have learnt to accept it.
