I just got notified by ebay that any products I sell to Northern Ireland must also comply with the sustainability rules - so the batteries in radios, laptops and other electronic items become my responsibility for disposal. I could be made to pay for collection and disposal of batteries in old products. I think when ebay implement this (it talks of registering and ID numbers for batteries being collected) I just wont sell to NI - the customs forms I am getting used to and for B2C it's not so bad once you get a list of the Tariff codes you commonly use, are not actually taking huge amounts of time - but keeping track of ever battery inside products is just crazy.
