It would only cost £50 at B&Q to make a prototype and prove the system could work. Surely that's where the fun is in inventing things?
There are plenty of runways in this country my friend, some not used, some underused, and others reused or turned in to giant car parks, or race tracks.
In the media all you hear about is Heathrow and the other major airports, but others are ripe for development, including Luton, who are hoping to expand and add another runway.
The problem as always is with the NIMBY's who don't want the noise and traffic that airports bring, and the cost for extra infrastructure required to host a main airport.
