Why do you visit UKBF?

No doubt there is a lot of advice given to try and provide a solution which is directly aimed at your obstacle!

But what has increased awareness of your business objective and solved an issue?

From which member of UKBF have you taken advice and followed through...what were the outcomes?
 
I've found a printer for my flyers - scubaprint. Neil was fast, efficient and reasonably priced.

I frequently pick up insights from the SEO guys, too many to list but people like oldwelshguy, redevo, fisicx - sometimes even suzuki ;)

Wandering over to the ecommerce, IT, sales and marketing - each and every one of them has regular contributions which enlighten on assorted topics. It's like having a fresh set of encyclopedias at my fingertips each day.

A good question....
I use several forums and realise you need to very prudent to ensure you do not let them become time sucks.

They are great for helping out when you can and getting new ideas.

OP - for me...


  • Help with my business (marketing, SEO, IT, accounts, legal, etc...etc...)
  • Help with personal development (colleagues in the same profession who can bounce stuff around)
  • Help with staying human (time out - some good laughs, and some TOP quality music!)
  • But MOST IMPORTANT - a goodly number of friends and just good people who were there for me when I needed them last year... priceless!

If UKBF was considered a family - only us members have a family that big... sure we fight sometimes (all families do), but when the chips are down...

that's how I view this - and for them as does annoy me (or vice versa)... there's always the "bar"!;)

To offer help in an area where I'm a subject matter expert, and learn from other subject matter experts on areas I'm not so familiar with.

hardly get time these days - but i get educated from it, people ask good questions about business, general business questions that have not even crossed my mind so its always good to see some answers and learn new things

1, To learn the type of questions that people want answered.

2. Hopefully to provide useful input.

3. To be incredibly petty and wind up certain parties. (clinically proved to relieve tension)

I'd agree with Working First Aid
It's a learning thing - I see a question that peeks my interest at that time, and I either know the answer, or if not, I look up the answer (or possible answer).

Also I don't mind being able to help someone genuine, but I see so many usernames that I have seen elsewhere :cool: and those ones I don't bother with :mad: - nuff said!
