10k on Monday, 5k last nght. Probably do a light jog on Saturday morning, then Sunday it's the half marathon. Reasonably confident I'll get in around 2 hours 20. If all goes really well, it may be closer to 2 hours, but I HAVE to keep my pace down at the start.

Just taking part makes you a winner
Before the half last year, I laughed at the idea of a medal for taking part. Once I'd finished it felt great to have it on
You can get it personalised with your finishing time engraved in a little slot on the medal, but for me it's really just a memento of doing the run. It's no different to the t-shirt you get.
Just carry and stack half-cwt sacks of cement and when you've finished that, do some roofing; that always clears the sinuses and limbers up the muscles! If you must prove your physical prowess, do something that adds value to your life. Build a shed, tarmac the drive, lay concrete, cut down trees, chop wood, wax polish the misses, anything with a constructive outcome will do!
Obviously you are just not working hard enough - if you were, you would not need all that gym!
