Do you mean designed or do you mean developed or a combination of both?

Like ethical, none of the above. My clients determined the design of the site. WordPress did all the development.

Thanks for your reply fisicx. More often than not the same website will be designed and developed using the same company. When you say your clients determined the design of your site, is it a wordpress theme?

    Hi Studio

Normally when I commission a website I will use designers to design the website and a back end company to do the development unless I go to an integrated agency which does both. It's unusual to find a one person band who has both a degree and experience as a graphic designer and is also an experienced as a back end developer.

As well as recommendations from other marketing and communications professionals I will also look in the trade press for case studies, look at award winning web designers etc.

If you do a search on this forum, you will find hundreds of threads from those wanting to start out in web design (read developing websites) looking for advice on the best channels (and approaches) to use to market their services...probably worth a read if you are looking to understand the best channels to use (and not use) to market your services.

    Design,what does that mean.

I throw a few sites together with the aid of various bits of software.

Design don't come in to it I do it to make money, so far I been lucky or could it have something to do with 20 years of practising SEO or 40 years of working with computers.;)

Was Google really built in a garage using Lego? The things kids use Lego for these days eh ;)

The test server (pre Google) was indeed housed in a building block (kids blocks, not sure if it was lego), and in a garage, and the original company ran out of a garage as well :)

    Crazy mixed up world eh.

Kids, can't live with em, can't shoot em :D

I used a CMS system for mine and but together the page myself - I used to do HTML at college so had to brush up my HTML/CSS but managed to cobble it together.

I think next year I will have the site re-done professionally to do everything I want but for now, what I have does the job.
