Letcent makes me think of lettuce, Retcent is only one small letter away from reticent, not a good name for any biz.

Both are equally poor to be honest. And both have no meaning towards a letting agency so I won't cast my vote on which is better. Sorry

Neither is good, Letcent is (slightly) less bad, as it doesn't read like reticent at first glance.

But, to reiterate, don't use either.

I bet their shop front doesn't just say APW, i'd guess it will be APW Lettings, APW Property, APW Estate Agency.

Rentcent Lettings, Letcent Property is much better than just rentcent or letcent (not that it would be hard to be better)

As to why "cent" - no particular reason. I think it sounds quite good and catchy

One day you may want to expand into sales, to using the words let or rent may not help. Think of a name that covers all aspects of property which gives you room to expand.

Yeah exactly. I wasn't suggesting it as a name, I was saying that "Letcent" just looks like Lettuce" to me which is why I wouldn't use it

When people need a roof over their heads, they're normally pretty desperate you could probably call it 'Hairy Dave's' & still have a constant stream of customers (in fact 'Hairy Daves' is likely to be an awful lot easier/catchy to remember vs. other letting agents)

I saw a agent the other day called Cubby Hole, i thought it was quite clever. Maybe look at names like that?
