Looking for some guidance on a couple of suitable logos i've had drafted,

Which ones would you pick for further amendments?

241golfvouchers.jpg

I like 2 & 7

Do like #3 but the "G" looks a bit odd

Logo doesn't need to be printed, business cards etc so not too worried about that aspect

They are all very clipart, for number 3 any logo that uses Brush Script is a big NO.

Work on concept 1, remove the clipart golfer and simplify. It does not read as 241golfvouchers.co.uk at the moment but I think it could be made to work.

Dunno what you're selling so it's tough to choose.

Does 241 mean "two for one"? (not sure what that would mean for a voucher anyway)

But assuming that it does, then the logo must be be unambiguous. I quite liked 3 but didn't see the 241 in it until I clocked all the others so it fails my test.

They look more like business cards than logos.

If it's for the website then you don't need the www bit.

If it's not for the website then what are you going to put on the website.

As for my choice: #1 or #7 but without the background or the putting green.

Not being a golfer, what is a 241 voucher. Is that two people or two rounds for the price of one?

apols, very limited internet access at present to respond to comments. The site is nothing more than a golf voucher affiliate venture, based on a few keyword search phrases and volumes. So the logo doesn't have to be bells and whistles for a full on business, the site at present converts quite well in its current state but looking just looking for a clean and tidy logo to 'lift' the appeal of the site a bit.Agree some look a little clipart'ish but mindful of the price being paid mid £xx was simply gauging thoughts on the best examples for further modification. So far we have in the running, logos 1, 3, 7, 8I’m looking to whittle this down to 2 logos for modification, and my favs now are Logo 7 – with a different background colour Logo 8 – with a clearer golf ball In reserve Logo 3 – with a clearer text and a different fontAny specific thoughts on these 3?

Have you had a good look at what the competition is doing? What are their logos like? What do/n't you like about them? You need to ask yourself a number of questions to decide who you (your business) are; how you want to be seen; how and where you want to use your logo. Your logo is a first impression of your business, so do you want to be friendly? Corporate? Simple? Complicated? What does your logo say about how seriously you want to be taken? Remember, the logo doesn't *have* to depict the business, merely what the business *believes* (Nike tick - get it right; RSA wheel/cog - keeping your business moving). Is the colour the right one? (e.g. purple is corporate, indicating royalty; green is warm and friendly). Ideally, your logo shouldn't 'date' so I wouldn't have any interesting font (like italics), I wouldn't even have a person in it. The fact that each of your logo samples is very different suggests to me that you need to firm up how you see yourselves as an organisation, your ethos.
You're promoting a discount on a leisure activity so I'd keep my research on logos to the leisure industry. Have you had a good trawl through the internet for tips on what makes a good logo in terms of form and colour? Brand awareness dos and don'ts?
