I guess the cost has to be under £2000, considering as you say most franchisors are just selling a job, so the lower the cost the better, and less stress. What would you class low cost?
I’m no expert but reckon anything under £30k is likely to be just buying a job. The lower the initial cost the fewer barriers to entry, and normally lower profits.
A guy I know sells cleaning franchises, no idea on costs, but he and franchisees seem to have done well.
I did not say "What shall I do, I am not looking for career advice either. I just asked a specific question about franchising from people who have a good knowledge of the subjectIt’s a bit like saying what shall I do as a business? It would help to know a bit about your background, your skills, your level of commitment and also budget?
Agree can't imagine you would get much for 2k. Interestingly enough I was just looking at the event calendar for the NEC 2023 and could see no dates for the Franchise exhibitionPeople with a good knowledge of franchising know that you won’t get anything decent for £2000.
The franchise you choose depends on your capabilities and skills, you location, availability of customers and so on.

All I can say is do full research and the biggest question to ask yourself is 'do I really need a franchise for this business?' or could you launch something similar without being under the constraints of a franchise?
STOPAny recommendations for a low cost profitable franchise ideas or similar business opportunity ideas?
This is the point I was makingSTOP
If you do not have an interest in an area, knowledge or experience, the chances of your business failing increases dramatically.
Whilst a franchise can increase the chance of success, due to proven products and processes, it can also contribute to failure.
Look at businesses or franchises where you have knowledge of the market.
There seem to be two Franchise shows ( Excel and Olympia) in London April & June 2023 - both sizeable venues.Agree can't imagine you would get much for 2k. Interestingly enough I was just looking at the event calendar for the NEC 2023 and could see no dates for the Franchise exhibition

You can do it if you put your mind to it, she bought a tiny house up north in her early 20s, sold it later for a litle profit, enough for the £90k to buy cake box by 30. Then expanded on that. Does not happen without hard work of course.Just goes to prove you cannot have your cake and eat it, unless you have substantial funds.

To raise the initial capital for a sum you call substantial, its one way of putting your money to work to get there...What does house buying have to do with the franchise I was referring to?
