Funding for what? Why do you need the money? What’s wrong with a bank loan?

The funding is for re-branding and marketing, on-going operational cost and Tech equipments. more interested grants than loans. From an individual perspective it's to avoid the long term risk should one run into any difficulties.
Much of that will be better served with a bank loan. There will always be risk and a grant may well require a PG.

I'd be very surprised if there are any grants for the type of purposes you have described.

If you are seeking a money giveaway with no risk to you, then as Mark T Jones has said there would need to be a purpose for the money, but not just any purpose, it would probably need to be a benefit to society or industry or tech, for example.

You mention your tech. You might wish to consider if you could attract a grant for a tech development for example.

Many grants originate from Academia institutions or associated organisations. It's because they tend to be for research.

Getting a grant to support a business profit motive is normally called shareholder investment.

The reasons you give are all high risk apart from the new tech equipment so any lender would look for a PG. You could try Invoice factoring where you send a copy of your invoices to a firm where they advance you most of the money near straight away so you dont have to wait for the customer to decide to pay, but obviously the only works on credit customers
For many items second hand or reconditioned items can be brought at very reduced cost on tech side
Not able to supply any suggestions on Grants or size of money you are looking for

    Speak to your local council.

There are some occasional pots that help existing businesses 'scale'. The support will more than likely come in action/activity, rather than cash.

    Hi,
If you’re specifically looking for grants, there are quite a few options depending on your location, industry, and business stage.

I run a site called GrantNest that helps UK-based businesses find relevant grants each month, especially those that aren’t widely advertised. We focus on grants for small businesses, sole traders, and consultants just like yourself.

    A few places to start:
    • Find Business Support (Scotland) or your regional growth hub if you’re elsewhere in the UK
    • Innovate UK (for tech or innovation-focused businesses)
    • Local Authority funds, which are often short-term but under-publicised
If you’re interested, the site is free to sign up and we send out a curated list each month.

Happy to point you to some tailored options if you want to share where you’re based or what type of consulting work you do
