I guess most people here are just like me in terms of never switching off. We're in business because its what we do and we love it.

Officially we close on Monday 22nd and re-open on Monday 5th which seems to be what a lot of people I speak to are doing.

    What are you guys doing?

Whatever you're up to and whatever you're working, take some time out and have a super Christmas and New Year

Not sure I really started again after last Christmas. I’ve just sort of drifted along. Will stop checking emails once the beer fridge opens next week sometime.

Most of our customers are closing until the 5th and wont be sending anything out .

Yesterday Thursday 18th was a typical of what I have always experienced at this time of year

Everything flat out for weeks phone ,emails going off around the clock vans running 24 hours

Then at lunchtime yesterday everything stops hardly any booking and enquiries. Its baffles me it never slows down the year comes to a grinding halt in literally two hours

Honestly, probably when I have finished work on Monday evening, as have a bit of different Christmas this year, so there's more preparation involved than normal.

But then I am also a Churchwarden, so I will be busy on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day morning with Services.

I always love the thought of those who submit their Tax Return on Christmas Day. Apparently last Christmas over 4000 were submitted.

I plan not to do anything optional after today - but emergencies do crop up and have to be fielded. I have 1 payroll that I cannot run in advance so I'll be doing that on 29/30 December. I no longer have any hospitality clients, so I don't expect any emergency calls on bank holidays.

Hope everyone has a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable Christmas, and whatever kind of New Year celebration you wish for.
