What's the best platform for creating/sending proposals? Bonus points for any free options!

I'm looking to move over to using a platform to send out nice looking and easily customisable proposals from templates I set up and save in the system to save us time. Are there any platforms you'd suggest that aren't too expensive or are free if you're not sending out masses of proposals each month?

I'd look at something like creating a few PowerPoint templates, and then populate the template as needed for each proposal and send that out (exported as a PDF)

I wonder if there's anything a little more automated where I can save proposals and have different options available to insert? I'm not opposed to PowerPoint and making new slides.

I'm working on a project that does just this. You create the templates and complete a form to insert the options. The whole thing saves as a pdf. If you want a demo let me know

Reading the original question again, wouldWord mail merge be an option?
