What's best when joining an affiliate program like awin

I was wondering if it was advised to sign up to awin with a personal email or wait for my website to be built and use the business email? Do they have a preference regarding this?

The website will be based on generating income from sites like awin so it would be crucial to be accepted or the business idea would not be worth following up if that makes sense?

If you have already brought you domain name you can usually set up a domain email address without having a website.

I would advise caution though, affiliate sales are hard work. You will be putting in a lot of hours marketing your website for often little return. As the awin site says, there are 225,000 people out there already doing affiliate marketing for the same products and brands that you will be pushing.

You do not need to wait for your website to be built to use the email - it can be set up immediately you get the domain, in seconds.

You either need a very focussed 'niche' visitor, as you mention, or a hell of a lot of volume!

Thanks for the advice regarding affiliates @fisicx. I appriciate its fairly saturated but I think I have found a niche that I could make work!
That's great. But niche can mean a smaller customer base.

Suppose you need to sell 100 products per week to make it financially viable. At 1% conversion you need 10,000 visitors each week. And if this is a one off purchase that 10,000 new visitors each week. That a huge ask for a start up website. And consider that once people have brought the product the potential customer base gets' continually smaller over time. Not saying it's not going to work but you are going to have to spend a huge amount of time and effort on marketing.
