Hi all,

I recently took some advice from an accoutant and finical advisor, and I wanted to do a bit of a survey, and see what pension provider people are using for Limited Directors Pension?

Thanks,

None at all. I've got a private pension but this is unrelated to me as a director.

There are plenty of different pension providers who will cater for Directors pension contributions, some as basic as Personal Pension (but accept employer contributions....because at the end of the day, thats what tax efficiently funds a pension for a Director).

There may well be specifically named 'Directors Pension' products - but most if not all pensions would work - so long as they accept employers contributions.

Many IFA's have preferred providers/platforms that they use, based on their yrs of experience: Quilter, Standard Life, Fidelity, Aviva....the list can go on.

If you want to go down a DIY route, planning your individual investments, then a Sipp (Self Invested Personal Pension) is a good way to go. Some platforms/providers are limited to their own range of funds though: Vanguard for example.

For an all bells and whistles fully functioning Sipp, you couldn't go far wrong with InvestAcc Minerva Sipp: allows purchase of commercial properties, ability to use gearing, government gilts, funds, individual shares.......................other providers are available.........
