What is peoples thoughts on the over use of exclamation marks and Question marks?

For me, it is a pet hate of mine when I see overuse of them. Okay in massages and texts its common practice, I don't like it but everyone does it. But what really gets to me, is when you see it on signs and notices, because think about it you are exclaiming an exclamation and that doesn't make sense. Know I am no English major, in fact, I am dyslexic. I just don't like seeing it. I think the worst sign I saw was on a college, it read "We got an Outstanding from Ofsted!!!" An educational place saying they did well in a report and misused the exclamations. Wow!

Well, I am probably going to inundated with exclamation and question marks, but what do you think?????????????????????????

Okay in massages

I think in a massage the odd exclamation would be appreciated. That full stop is just for you. Obviously under normal circumstances I would have used at least one exclamation mark. I'm fairly sure there is a reasonable correlation between social class and the number used. Oh what a snob I am.

I think you might be trying to slow walk me to an epiphany. Do you just want to take a shortcut and make a point?

Hardly an epiphany. I suspect you're already there. However, since you ask so nicely, both are used for emphasis. I don't personally have an issue with either, but while (as you rightly say) they look different, there is no practical difference in their application.

To be fair the OP did say he's dyslexic (now there's an irony making that so hard to spell).

Multiple exclamation marks are slightly annoying. As is the massive overuse of them, of which I'm probably guilty. But then language changes and evolves all the time.
