Why would you wear shirts with my company logo printed on them?

At TrustSpot we like to keep things pretty casual.. most everybody wears jeans and a tshirt + sneakers to work.. If you're comfortable at work .. moral goes up and everybody wins.

Meeting clients first time I am in smart jeans and causal shirt with comfortable shoes. The last time I checked they are wanting to hire me for my technical ability not my catwalk ability.

However, I try to set the dress code tone by meeting in places like Starbucks or Costa coffee.. Have I lost work because of my dress? Not to my knowledge, but if someone has not given me the work because of my smart jeans and shirt, then maybe they are not client for me. This dress applies to when I'm visit their site/office location

I cannot recall anyone all the time I have been doing that anyone complained about my dress code...I think this has a lot to do with as my client base as majority are small (1 to 50 employees) business.

There are lot of companies still out there like someone said politics, financial, law sectors that are very traditional, but probably need to get with times and loose up the tie once in a while..

I've noticed a bit of a trend with software developers - and I say this as one.... you can't make them dress smart!

I've worked in corporate environments with dress codes and it's still easy to spot the development team, generally jeans and a t-shirt. I often felt overdressed when I've often opted for a tucked-in slim fit shirt (light colours), some slim jeans and brown pointy shoes; but that's my personal style - and that's something I've kept up until today.

I think it's also worth looking at the location; when I've worked outside of The City I've often dressed a lot more "casual" - but there's something about feeling more at ease dressed smarter in certain areas. I think that's probably an insecurity of mine though?

I'll hire a person that executes and is poorly dressed over anyone no matter how good they dress.
