Could always look into having a username history function on the forum, bit like they do on ebay, which shows previous user names.

Here are my reasons!

Keith and Oasis Spoke to you in the past good men but get fed up! Fair enough!

My username I didn't ask for it to be changed to hide who I am! Far from it. I don't use that name anymore so didn't see there been a problem changing it.

I am not going to be posting within the forum that much now anyway. I am only going to use it for refrence and infomation! The forum is used by 1000's of members per day and allot of infomation is posted some topics which I am intrested in and would like to read.

Estwig on another forum you where fine with me and spoke quite happily to me. Oasis I know I over stepped the mark by far and can understand the hate towards me.

I am only asking to be treated fair and have a 3rd and final chance.

Kevin if I spoke quite happily to you on another forum, that is because I didn't know it was you, yet another alias!!

There's been a spate of banned members returning to the forum.

One of them - whose business repeatedly spammed large numbers of forum members (and who admitted ripping off an article I wrote) - is the current spotlight member of the forum!

Feck me! ... as an Irish Gordon Ramsay might say.

Of those that have returned, Zenicman is the one I feel deserves a second chance.

Why?

Because he was suspended for 3 months and told to go away and grow up. Now he should have an opportunity to show he's grown up.

Having said that, I'm going to be assuming his posts are complete bollox until he's shown he's changed.

Finally, I agree that he shouldn't be able to change his username for the time being. Regulars should know who they're dealing with until he can show he can act like a "normal member".

Just my 2p.

Kev I don't hate you I just feel that I wasted time trying to help you out. Time for me is quite precious, so wasting it is not something I want to do. That's it, I don't hate you. I admire you for getting off your arse and trying to do something, you just need to stick at it instead of changing when ever the wind blows!!!

I'm a bit taken back by the ferocity of some of the posts in this thread - surely Kevin hasn't burnt each and every one of you, has he? If not, your posts make me worry - other forums would not allow such flaming of a member.

Kevin was banned for 3 months and now his ban has been served - when the ban was imposed, no-one said that it should have been for longer. So, that's the end of it, no more discussion.

My only concession is that Kevin's username will be reverted to Zenicman - this I do agree is the right thing to do.

No problem with any member coming back after serving a ban - so welcome back Kevin.

What I (and others) were objecting to is a banned member returning under a new name, which is just plain misleading.

I think RayB has it dead right. It's no problem as long as we know who we are dealing with.
