Used company credit card by mistake

I ordered items for personal use a week ago, and paid with my company credit card by mistake. I'll repay the amount in full from my personal account, but are there any other implications resulting from this? e.g. will I now need to submit a P11d for this tax year because of it?

Are you a director of the Company?
If so just include it in the DLA or depending on the amount could it not be a trivial benefit?

I echo the above - Directors loan accounts all the way. I make these mistakes often myself by using a company card.

DLA is the simplest way to account for errors like this but it could also be treated as a trivial benefit as mentioned above.

I set up my road tax on my company account by mistake, I have also done shopping at Tesco and also gone for a night out taking only my business card. Keep a note and your accountant will tidy it all up at the end of the year.

Every time I use the company credit card for private purchases, I get shouted at. I try to explain that I cannot remember the PIN on my private card, but that gets me absolutely nowhere.

"I hope you realise just how much work that costs us!" is usually followed by "Men! There ought to be a law!"

I've just seen the bill for last month's stuff - this could get messy! Over £1k of 'unauthorised' payments - time to learn that other bloody number!

I employ people so that I do not have to know things like that. I have yet to work out how to buy trousers - fortunately, I am married, so I do not need to know where trousers come from!
