up cycling clothing Project

Hi

I want to set up a fashion project to reduce clothes waste on the landfills by up cycling used and unused garments. I want to use used garments to make fresh new designs and sell it back to customers.

I want to work with local community and retailers. I want to buy faulty garments from retailers that they cant sell.

Does anyone know any clothing retailer that sells faulty garments? I really need faulty garments to start the project. Please help me.

Charity shops sell excess and damaged clothing as rags, around 68p per kilo, most of the larger chains have contracts in place, but smaller local charities might be able to help.

I'm not affiliated in any way with this company - just saw their advert on a bus in town.

They bulk buy clothes per kg and presumably sell/export them. Might be worth contacting.

There are many locations that are buying old clothing per KG, I think this would be the best way to start. You will just have to search GOogle locally to you or look in your lcoal paper.
