As a big fan of sit-coms, and other TV shows, I watch them a lot on DVD, and it's through this re-watching that I start to spot mistakes.
Here's just a few of mine:
1/ Open All Hours
a) In the first series there's "Well-Catered Funeral" where we see Arkwright go to "Old Paslow's" funeral. Yet in later series, he asks Mrs Paslow if she is getting anything for her husband.
b) In the second series the first episode, "Laundry Blues" Nurse Gladys storms into the back of the shop to see what appliances Arkwright has. Arkwright says it's the first time he's got her into his private quarters - yet she was in there twice in the first series.
2/ As Time Goes By
a) Despite the story being based on Lionel's letter not reaching Jean, there are episodes where they talk about it being Jean's letter not getting to Lionel.
b) At Rocky and Madge's wedding Lionel wants to put into his speech a joke about a parrot with no feet. However, he is advised by both Rocky and Jean not to do it as neither of them found it funny. Yet, at the end, when Judith gets married to Alistair, Rocky is disappointed more people didn't laugh at the parrot joke as he had found it funny.
c) Both weddings (for Rocky and Alistair) the best man breaks his leg or fractures his tibia.
3/ Ever Decreasing Circles
a) In the episode where Martin, Anne, Howard and Hilda decide where they're going on holiday, Martin comes back from the shops with some wood under his arm as he wants to make a model of the hotel where they stay every year. Yet, earlier, when the front door is open you can clearly see the wood propped up against the door entrance way.
b) Also in the same episode the can of furniture polish, on the table behind Anne, disappears half way through the scene.
c) Just inside the front door is a side door. In one episode it appears clear that this is a downstairs toilet (as Anne goes in there to get a towel to dry her hair). However, when the characters walk through the second door into the living/dining room, the wall to the side of the door includes the front windows, without there being an extra section blocked off for the "little room".
So, what ones have you spotted on TV?

I find jaws and et over rated.
