Although I am a disco diva at heart, my mood definitely dictates my choice of music ---- I also love Nirvana, Free, Fleetwood Mac, George Gershwin, Billie Holiday, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Ian Dury, Bob Marley, The Who, Rod Stewart, Celo Green ........... and classical choice would be Erik Satie ..... love Gymnopodies (probably not even close to spelling it correctly!) ..... guess my Dad influenced alot of my musical choice as he's a musician but my mum was a Tommy Steele fan so didn't get any help from her whatsoever!!!!

I have every fleetwood Mac CD after (peter green) went to see them in Newcastle, not the tour last year, the previous one - brilliant!

Rod Stewart like him, Genesis (after peter gabriel)

My Dad played the claranet and wrote music, but as he died just before I was 5 then he cannot have influenced me (unless he did it from the grave)

I remember my Sister buying a record player they only played one single at a time then, and we would dance around the kitchen to the beatles, the searchers and the likes; back then I was in love with Billy Fury!!:D Take good care of my baby........don't you ever make her cry, and if you should discover that you don't really love her, then send my baby back home to me!:D Magic...

showing your age now pops, unfortunately, dont recall Billy singing that one, unless you didnt mean to reference the song so close in your sentence.Bobby Vee sang that one, written by Carole King by the way.

I was just deleting some old messages and Ive kept yours, remember the title...'was a hot afternoon, last day of June and the sun was a demon....bobby goldsboro bless him xxx

Oh yes, Genesis ........ seen them a fair few times and have to confess I have a bit of a "thing" about Phil Collins ......... don't know what it is exactly, but think he is really, really, fanciable ...... like Peter Gabriel though too, seen him a couple of times live and absolutely loved the album "So" which is still one of my faves .....
I wouldn't dismiss musical influences from your dad ...... you may not consciously remember but music would, from what you say, have been around you from before you were born and there is research which proves that unborn children hear whilst in the womb and will react to familiar sounds/voices once they actually arrive in the world.
You would have had a good few years of hearing your dad's choice of music and it will, I believe, have helped shaped your tastes ......... never underestimate the legacy of love

yes, I gaze in to it on a regular basis, accurately foreseeing the future and then ignoring all the warning signs while I trundle on trying to turn my business in to the huge success I would like it to be......... I also happen to know all the words to Daisy, Daisy of course, which doesn't necessarily make me exactly cool
