Student Pub Crawl

Hi guys, after being tipped that starting a student pub crawl could potentially be a worth-while scheme, I arrived at a number of questions.

- Is it likely that I could push local bars to pay to be involved in the crawl?
- Could the people that sell picture key-rings at night clubs provide an extra revenue to the idea somehow?
- What sort of prices do you expect to pay to be involved in a pub crawl?
- Where would I stand with regards to Tax & insurance?
- Would I have to operate under as a business or could it be a cash in hand service that the pubs abide by?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

"Hi, this Stacey from Insurance Company You Called. How can I help today?"

OP: "Hi, I've been told that it's a legal requirement for me to have public and employee liability insurance for my business. Can you quote me please?"

"Of course sir. What line of business are you in?"

OP: "We take large groups of students and charge them £5 each to trawl them around pubs, get them extremely drunk and help them to have a good time until they can no longer stand up. How much would my premium be for public liability please?"

"Hmmmnnn...let me check on that for you...£A squillion."

LOL

I think this is more of a blackmarket business to be honest with you. ;)

Haven't students managed this on their own for hundreds of years?

Yes they have and theres not been a compnay that has got liability insurance for this kind of work, what do you think would happen if the students got drunk and were involved in a fight and were seriously hurt, who do you think they would come after when there sober and in a wheelchair, or with a badly disfigured face after having a glass shove in it.

Drunken students on pub crawls will always happen but if you try and make a business out of it you won't last 5 mins :(
