Squarespace AI Alt Text

Can anybody advise me on how I can reverse the option of using 'AI' to add Alt Text? I got an email suggesting that I have an 'SEO Check Up' which automatically added Alt text to my website images which are now showing under each image on my page. It look terrible and I could do with kowing how to remove this?

You will have to go into each image block/link and edit the Alt Text manually. I don't think there's a bulk edit/delete option, unless you use the AI feature to modify them all again.

Agree, you have to do this one image at a time. Boring and tedious but it’s the only way.

As an aside, alt text should never be visible on the site. The text below an image should be the caption.

If the images are on a page or blog post. Go into the actual page editor and find the image, and click on it to change the ALT text.

This should help.
