Hi all,
Hoping someone may be able to help, I've got my self assessment all sorted ready to submit, but it occured to me I'm not claiming my office rent as an expense. I'm not sure if I'm able to or not, I currently live in a flat and rent a room back at my parents house as an office, I pay them a set amount each month, can I claim this as an expense? or would this cause issues with it being a residential address?
I've read various info about claiming for a room within your own property, but not sure if the same guidance would apply to my situation?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Greg
